Introductory Charge: Kingdom Rejuvenation (Acts 2:17)

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh…” — Acts 2:17

Beloved in Christ, we are gathered today under the canopy of God’s promise for revival, renewal, and rejuvenation in His Kingdom.

First, let us remember who God is. Scripture defines Him not merely by attributes, but by His very essence:

  • “God is Spirit” (John 4:24)
  • “God is Light” (1 John 1:5)
  • “God is Love” (1 John 4:8)

He is the Eternal King, the One “who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8). Everything begins with Him, flows from Him, and returns to Him.

And because God is King, there is also a Kingdom—a domain where His reign, His will, and His order is established. Paul defines the nature of this Kingdom in Romans 14:17:

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

This is what distinguishes the Kingdom of God from earthly systems. It is not sustained by physical bread alone, but by:

  • Righteousness — right standing with God
  • Peace — the wholeness and rest of God in our lives
  • Joy — the unshakable gladness that flows from the Spirit

Now, when we talk about rejuvenation, it means a renewal of strength, a revival of vitality, a refreshing of what may have grown weak or weary (Lamentations 1:1-22). In these last days, Acts 2:17 assures us that God Himself has chosen to rejuvenate His Kingdom through an outpouring of His Spirit—upon all flesh. Sons and daughters, young and old, male and female—no one is exempt.

This is the season where the Spirit of God is breathing new life, awakening dry bones (Ezekiel 37:10), and rekindling fire in hearts that were once cold. It is the season where the Church must rise in the reality of the Kingdom—living in righteousness, manifesting peace, and radiating joy in the Holy Ghost.

So I charge us today:

  • To posture our hearts for the outpouring of the Spirit
  • To realign with the reality of God’s Kingdom
  • And to allow the Spirit to rejuvenate us until we reflect righteousness, peace, and joy in our daily walk
